The Role:

The Member Services Officer is responsible for carrying out a range of lending, administrative and operational activities that contribute to the effective running of the credit union.

The Member Service Officer is on the front line of service provision for e-Services and Communications Credit Union and is a positive, professional and friendly face that engages with members daily. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail is a must in this role.

 

About e-Services & Communications Credit Union (esccu)

e-Services & Communications Credit Union was originally established in 1961 with our city centre Head Office conveniently located at 55 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.  Originally the Eircom Credit Union but now with a common bond to accept members from anyone working in the ICT sector including global brands like; Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Vodafone, Ericsson, Symantec, PayPal and many more.

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with all member service transactions
  • Balancing own batch on a daily basis
  • Managing the workflow of loan applications and engaging with members on their loan application
  • Assessing loans in a consistent and diligent manner in accordance with legislation and regulation and the credit union’s Credit Policy
  • Liaising with the Marketing Function to co-ordinate promotional campaigns to enhance the loan book
  • Providing an excellent service to members in adherence with internal policies and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • APA/QFA or other recognised professional qualification
  • Three or more years’ experience in a financial services organisation performing a similar role
  • Customer focussed with a friendly and professional manner
  • Experience of working in a cash environment, desirable but not essential
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Good PC skills
  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

 

This is a permanent position with an immediate start. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
